A mother hen refused to allow the farmer's wife to shoo her and her little family into a coop to get out of a storm and instead sought shelter under a tree.  After the storm, it was discovered that an enemy in the coop ate up the poor babies inside.  Shows the wisdom of fleeing from the enemy to the cross (tree) of Christ
